Your First Appointment

What to Expect

Your first visit is built around one thing: understanding how your body moves and what’s holding you back. This is a one-on-one session so that both you and your therapist can focus in on your goals.

It begins with a conversation about your history, past injuries, current limitations, and what you want to improve. From there, your therapist will perform a full movement and mobility assessment to evaluate strength, flexibility, and how your body functions in real movement. Once the initial screening is complete, the remainder of the appointment will include hands-on treatment therapies.

What To Expect

  • Review of your history, injuries, and goals
  • Movement and mobility assessment
  • Identification of limitations, imbalances, and restrictions
  • Hands-on treatment and targeted therapies

Your Session May Include (link to treatment pages)

  • Cupping
  • Dry Needling
  • Assisted Stretching
  • Electrical Stimulation
  • IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization)
  • And More (link to additional treatments page)

Every step of the appointment is intentionally designed to address what’s limiting you and start moving you toward your goal immediately.

Your Plan Moving Forward

At the end of your session, you will leave with a clear, personalized plan.

This includes:

  • What we’re looking to address
  • How we plan to improve it
  • What your next steps will look like

Follow-up sessions are 45 minutes of consistent, individualized care with the same therapist, blending hands-on treatment, movement work, and progress tracking.

Our goal is not just to reduce pain. We want to help you stay active, consistent, and performing at a higher level.

Free 20-Minute Screening

Not sure where to start? Our free 20-minute screening gives you a preview of the full experience.

Screening includes:

  • Review of history and previous injuries
  • Movement and mobility screen
  • Guided stretching
  • Hands-on treatment

How To Prepare

Arrival

Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your session so that we can start on time and make the most of your session. Check in at the front desk, and you will be directed to the treatment area. You will receive a new patient form prior to your first visit. Completing this in advance allows your therapist to build a more targeted plan from the start.

What To Wear

Wear comfortable athletic wear that allows free range of motion. If you are focusing on lower-body issues, we recommend wearing shorts.

No Referral Needed

You can work with our licensed physical therapists without a physician’s referral.

Insurance

Bring your insurance information with you on your first visit. The Fitness Physio team will review your coverage and help guide you toward the best plan for your goals.
