Physiotherapy

One-on-one Approach to Full-Body Wellness

Physiotherapy focuses on identifying and treating the movement issues that cause pain, limit performance, and ultimately hold you back. Fitness Physio’s licensed therapists work hands-on to address muscle imbalances, mobility restrictions, and inefficiencies so your body moves the way it should.

Our goal is simple: help you move better, feel better, and perform at a higher level. Every session is built around movement, function, and real-world results to improve not just how you feel, but how you live and train.

Fitness Physio combines proven techniques like massage, stretching, and mobility work with advanced therapies like dry needling, cupping, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization for a more complete, results-driven approach to care.

Physiotherapy FAQs

What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy focuses on treating musculoskeletal injuries and movement limitations that cause pain or restrict performance. Our therapists use hands-on care and movement-based treatments to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve how your body functions.

What do physiotherapists treat?

Physiotherapists treat a wide range of conditions, from acute injuries to chronic issues. This includes sprains, strains, muscle spasms, headaches, TMJ, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, low back pain, sciatica, and post-surgical recovery.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

In many cases, no referral is needed to begin physical therapy treatment through direct access. However, some insurance plans and state practice acts may still require a physician referral for coverage. Our team can help verify your benefits and explain any requirements before your first visit.

Do I need to be a Genesis Health Club member to see a Fitness Physio therapist?

You do not need to be a Genesis member to book a Fitness Physio treatment. While we are located inside Genesis Health Clubs, physiotherapy services are available to both members and non-members.

How many physiotherapy visits will I need?

It depends on your condition and your goals. After your initial evaluation, your therapist will build a personalized plan designed to get results as efficiently as possible.

Will I see the same therapist for every visit?

Yes, you will work with the same therapist for all sessions. Consistency matters, and working with the same therapist ensures continuity, progress, and a better overall experience.

Is physiotherapy different from physical therapy?

No. Physiotherapy and physical therapy are interchangeable terms and refer to the same type of care focused on restoring movement and function.
